No.106 Research study on the assessment process for work management support(April 2023)

The "work management support for persons with developmental disabilities who are employed or on leave" (hereinafter referred to as "work management support") is a program that assesses occupational issues from the perspective of executive functions in simulated occupational situations and provides support. The purpose of this research study was to develop a model regarding the cognitive processes of supporters who provide work management support. Specifically, the records of support for work management support were the subject of quantitative and qualitative analysis of the results of the assessment of executive function and descriptions of the participant's behavior. It can be used as reference material when assessing work management issues in work management support and when considering support for those who have work management issues.

The purpose is to conduct surveys targeted supervisors and colleagues of persons with disabilities and clarify their awareness and behavior toward working with persons with disabilities.
We conducted surveys focusing on awareness of the consideration for persons with disabilities who received and provided support status among the awareness and behavior of supervisors and colleagues of persons with disabilities, and summarized the results.
It can be used as basic materials promoting to understand of workplaces for employment of persons with disabilities.
No.104 Fundamental research on the applicability of modern test theory in assessment of vocational rehabilitation(April 2022)

The purpose of this research is to provide overviews of assessment tools in vocational rehabilitation, to organize the necessary statistical knowledge for development processes of testing and evaluation tools or perspectives of objective evaluation, and to organize basic materials that will contribute to the future development of assessment tools through simulations and analysis by using tools that are used for assessments in support fields.
It explains clearly to understand test theories even if you do not have mathematical knowledge so that it can be utilized as reference materials for keeping in mind in case of development and usage of assessment tools at support sites, and how to apply test theories for tool development.

Germany assess needs in individual cases integrally with vocational rehabilitation including support for employers, to respond to persons with disabilities without disability certificate, to whom the employment quota system for persons with disabilities is not unconditionally applied, and to compensate for any economic burdens of companies that employ persons with disabilities. This report includes materials and forms for disability accreditation and severe disability assessments, vocational rehabilitation including relevant local organizations, and practical supports for collaborative strategies between welfare and employment.

No.102 Survey on the Actual Conditions of Disabled People who have Mobility Related Difficulty for Working(April 2019)

We classified the disabled persons with mobility-related difficulties based on the factors that cause movement difficulties as "persons with traffic constraints", "persons with moving constraints" and "persons with movement difficulty", and regarding the support for disabled persons with mobility-related difficulties, we organized those support into 4 types; commuting support, mobility support inside and outside the office, and other support. As a result, we were able to obtain many suggestions according to various ideas, accommodations, and support for individuality to the problems that disabled persons with mobility-related difficulties have. Also, to consider these problems not only as problems for persons with disabilities but as problems for the whole workplace and for the whole region in attempting to resolve them, to foster a corporate culture that considers working with people with disabilities as a matter of course while maintaining sufficient communication, and to achieve a barrier-free mind is more important than anything. The information obtained in this research can be used for promoting employment and settling into the workplace of disabled persons with mobility-related difficulties.
No.101 Basic Research on qualitative improvement of employment for persons with disabilities(April 2018)

In Japan, for employment of persons with disabilities, such measures and endeavors have been implemented that lead (1) to increase the employment of persons with disabilities and (2) to make qualitative improvement for promoting employment of persons with disabilities by job retention, execution of ability, career development, etc. It is considered, however, that there are various viewpoints and measures of appraisal in finding the situation of qualitative improvement for employment of persons with disabilities. This Research finds such viewpoints and measures by organizing and classifying those and provides materials for planning measures for employment of persons with disabilities, promotion of research on vocational rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities by companies.
