Practical Report No.45:"Development of Support Techniques for Workplace Re-adaptation of Employees with Higher Brain Dysfunction

Practical Report No.45(issued March 2026)(japanese) Supporting employees with higher brain dysfunction who remain employed can be challenging, even when there are issues that need to be addressed. In this project, we examined concrete strategies that lead to effective support as well as flexible support systems that can be easily used by both employees and workplaces. This report provides a detailed introduction to the tools developed ("Consultation Sheet: Is There Anything That Comes to Mind?" and "Shared Workplace Status Sheet") and the support practices implemented, including hybrid support combining job coach assistance with a structured support program, and group meetings for employees who are currently employed. Practical Report No.44:"Consultation Techniques for Promoting Workplace Adaptation in Employment Management - Audiovisual Materials Designed to Enhance Mutual Understanding with Company Employees -"

Practical Report No.44(issued March 2026)(japanese) In employment management, it is essential for employers to create an environment in which employees with disabilities can fully demonstrate their abilities. To support this, we have developed a new audiovisual training material designed in a "learning together" format that promotes mutual understanding between employment management staff and employees with disabilities, fostering opportunities for two-way communication. The Practical Report summarizes key points for using the audiovisual material, important considerations, and methods for implementation. A separate booklet includes the audiovisual content along with various related tools. (Issued in March 2026)

Practical Report No.43:"Improvement of Work Management Support"

Practical Report No.43(issued March 2026)(japanese) This report introduces methods and key considerations for improving "work management support," which involves assessing an individual's ability to appropriately process a series of work steps and complete tasks (work management ability), as well as examining factors that hinder work management and ways to address them. The report is based on practical case examples. In this revision, the support method has been enhanced so that it can be widely utilized not only by individuals with developmental disabilities who are currently employed or on leave, but also by persons with mental disabilities, higher brain dysfunction, or other cognitive impairments, as well as by job seekers. Additionally, the "Behavior Observation Sheet" and "Reflection Sheet" have been reviewed and improved to shift the focus from identifying factors that hinder work management to encouraging reflection on "what helps things go well." These revisions have enhanced the practicality of the support method. (Issued in March 2026)
